Sharing of experiences to improve vegetable cultivation in SAARC countries stressed

Agriculture experts and agronomists at a workshop Friday stressed the need for taking integrated steps for sharing knowledge and experiences to improve vegetable cultivation in SAARC countries, reports UNB.
They said if the agronomists and agricultural scientists of the SAARC countries exchange their knowledge and experiences in vegetable cultivation, particularly in innovating new crops, all countries would be benefited.
The speakers urged the policy-makers to boost cooperation in agriculture sector among the SAARC countries for ensuring food security in the region with a combined effort.
Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) organised the two-day regional workshop on 'Improvement of Vegetables and Adaptive Trials in SAARC Countries' in the city Friday.
