Sheikh Hasina to face trial in Mig 29 warplane purchase-scam case; High Court discharge all

Dhaka, Sept 6 (UNB) - Awami League President and former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and others will have to face trial in the much-talked-about Mig 29 warplane purchase-scam case, as the High Court Thursday discharged all the petitions for quashing the case. A division bench comprising Justice Nozrul Islam Chowdhury and Justice M Ataur Rahman Khan passed the orders, vacating its stay orders given long ago on the proceedings of the case pending with the trial court.
