Holders Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club earned the 2nd consecutive victory in the Manyavar Bangladesh Premier Football League beating Rahmatganj MFS by 2-1 goals in their 2nd league match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city Saturday, reports UNB.
Earlier, Sheikh Jamal DC made a flying start in the league outplaying Farashganj SC by 4-1 goals in the league opener last Tuesday. In the day's match, Sheikh Jamal DC took the lead in the 31st minute when their defender Kasto Kumar found the Rahmatganj net by a placing shot came his way by a low cross of Mohammad Linkon ((1-0) off a corner kick from midfielder Mamunul Islam Mamun.
Rahmatganj defender Sumon Dey brought down onrushing Darlington in the danger zone and referee blew whistle for a spot kick and Darlington did no mistake to convert spot kick (2-0).
Rahmatganj MFS came back into the match in the 78th minute when their striker Mannaf Rabbi fired the Sheikh Jamal beating goalie Mazharul Islam, off Arafat (2-1).
Earlier in the 34th minute, an attempt of Haitain forward Wedson Anselme returned to play hitting the crosspiece.
