Sheikh Jamal fined Tk 2m for involvement in match fixing

The Professional Football League (Bangladesh League) Committee of Bangladesh Football Federation submitted its enquiry report on match fixing to BFF President Kazi Salahuddin Saturday, reports UNB.
After about one-month's investigation, the probe committee termed the League match between Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club and Rahmatganj MFS held on June 11 as a mutual match (fixed match).
Chairman of the Professional League Committee Abdus Salam Murshedi disclosed the report and their recommendations at a press.
They recommended to impose fine of Tk 2 million (20 lakh) for the Bangladesh League champions Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, Tk 0.5 million (5 lakh) for Rahmatganj MFS for their involvement in match fixing.
Besides, Rahmatganj MFS official Salauddin Kala to be ban for three years, Rahmatganj custodian Iran Sheikh for two years and Muktijoddha Coach Maruful Haque for two months.
