Powerhouse Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited started their 2nd phase of Nitol Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League with a happy note when they posted a 2-1 goal win over Chittagong Abahani Limited Friday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city, reports BSS.
Forward Sohel Mia put the port city team Chittagong Abahani ahead early in the 8th minute taking opportunity of misunderstanding between Sheikh Jamal's defenders and goalkeeper.
Defender Diderul Haque sent a back pass to goalkeeper M Ziaur Rahman who failed to hold the ball and Chittagong Abahani's forward Sohel placed it into the net (1- 0). Sheikh Jamal had chance to level the margin, but Nigerian forward Denial Onyachi's right-footed shot from the D box was saved by Selim Ullah, who dived to the right in the 20th minute.
