Sheikh Mujib becomes ideology: Shawkat Osman

"Man becomes ideology in devotion, none could arrest the ideology," late Shawkat Osman, a noted novelist and short story writer in his novel "Jahannam Hoite Biday" of 1971 illustrated the people's love and faith to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for his works and dedication towards the nation, reports UNB.
"A gentleman was fleeing a military (Pakistani occupation forces) prone city by naval route. At one stage the boatman asked him, "Is Sheikh Mujib arrested?" The passenger replied "yes". After a bit of silence the boatman once again asked him, "Is Sheikh Mujib arrested?" The gentleman replied again 'yes."
After breaking silence of sometime he (boatman) said, "You know nothing. Who will arrest him?" The answer of mine (Shawkat Osman) was "Sadhonai manush bhabmurtite porinata hoi. Bhabmurti keu greftar korte parena. (Man becomes ideology in devotion, none could arrest the ideology." Shawkat Osman described his faith and love to Bangabandhu alongside with the people through his novel "Jahannam Hoite Biday" which was written on the perspective of Liberation War, in 1971.
