Sheikh Russell KC beat Mohammedan in Premier Football

Sheikh Russell KC won 2-1 over Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club (MSC) in the Nitol-Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city Wednesday, reports UNB.
With the defeat, Dhaka Mohammedan went down to the 4th slot in the league table from the 3rd place with 38 points from 24 matches.
Holders Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club remained at the 6th position in the 10-team fray securing 32 points from 24 outings.
Mithun Chowdhury scored both the goals for Sheikh Jamal DC in the 31st and 52nd minutes while Wahed Ahmed netted the lone goal for Mohammedan SC in the 20th minute.
In the day's other league match, Muktijoddha Sangsad KC defeated hosts Chittagong Abahani Limited by 1-0 goal at the MA Aziz Stadium in the port city of Chittagong
Ismail netted the match-winning goal for the freedom fighters team Muktijoddha in the very 5th minute of the match.
With the day's feat, Muktijoddha Sangsad KC advanced to the 3rd slot in the league table toppling Mohammedan SC collecting 40 points from 24 outings while Chittagong Abahani remained at the 8th slot with their previous credit of 22 points from 24 encounters.
