Sheikh Russell make flying start

A brilliant hattrick by Mohammad Ronny steered Sheikh Russell KC to a flying start in the Citycell Federation Cup Football Tournament crushing Bangladesh Army by 8-1 goals at the Bangabandhu National Stadium Saturday, reports UNB.
Ronny scored seasons' first hattrick netting four goals in the 45th, 70th, 82nd and 85th minutes. The tally was improved by Mohammed Abdulai netting two goals in the 15th and 63rd minutes while Nurul Ansar and Rajon Miah scored one each in the 32nd and 80th minutes.
Rashedul Hasan Sunny scored the consolation goal for Army in the 53rd minute.
In the other match, newcomers Bianibazar SC of Sylhet started their Federation Cup campaign with a good note beating formidable Farashganj SC by a solitary goal at the same venue.
Mohammad Lamine Soumah scored the match winning goal for Bianibazar SC in the 72nd minute.
Today's (Sunday's) matches: Dhaka Abahani Ltd vs Bangladesh Police at 4 pm (BNS), Muktijoddha Sangsad KC vs Ctg Abahani Ltd at 4:pm (Army Stadium).
