Sherpur First Div Cricket League begins

SHERPUR, Jan 7 (UNB): Sherpur First Division Cricket League began Monday after three years at the local Shaheed Muktijoddha Smriti Stadium.
Deputy Commissioner of Sherpur Mohammad Zakir Hossain inaugurated the 10-team month-long league Monday. Additional Deputy Commissioner cum chairman of Cricket Committee Mohammad Akbar Ali was also present.
MCC Club played against Azad Sporting Club in the opening match.
Ten participating teams are: Sherpur Cricket Club, Saika, Sabuj Sena, Diganta, MCC, Sunrise, Azad Sporting Club, Players Welfare Association, Sonali Club and GSC.
