Shibir leader held in Bagerhat

A local leader of Islami Chhatra Shibir was arrested on Tuesday at Kochua Upazila in Bagerhat district on Tuesday. Police picked up Md Saiful Islam from his house at Fultala village on charges of planning sabotage, said Kochua Police Station OC Abu Jihad Fakhrul Alam Khan. The Shibir leader, who was wanted in a case of violence unleashed before the January 5 national elections, went into hiding and surfaced only recently, the OC said, according to bdnews24.com.
