Shibir leader injured in \\\'encounter\\\'

JESSORE, May 14 (bdnews24.com): An Islami Chhatra Shibir leader has been injured in an encounter with police in Jessore Sadar upazila.
Shibir's Jessore city unit president Zahidul Islam was arrested Tuesday morning, said Jessore's Detective Branch of police SI Abul Khair.
Police went to a village along with Islam to 'recover arms' at night, he said.
Sensing police presence, Shibir activists opened fire at them, forcing police to retaliate, the SI said.
Islam was hit by bullet on his leg during the gunfight. His associates managed to escape.
Police recovered a shooter gun, one round of bullet and a hand-made bomb from the scene.
