Shibir threatens indefinite strike at RU from June 22

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, June 19: Leaders and activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) gave Wednesday an ultimatum to the Rajshahi University (RU) authority demanding arrest of the culprits who chopped leg of their leader Rasel Alam on the campus Monday.
The Shibir men threatened indefinite strike on the campus from June 22 if the attackers are not arrested by June 21, according to a press release signed by Farhad Reza, publicity secretary of ICS RU unit.
In the press release, Shibir claimed that some 15 Chhatra League activists led by their RU unit vice president Tanmoy Annada Ovi and organising secretary Faisal Ahmed Runu chopped Rasel Alam, a fourth year student of Finance and Banking Department and also general secretary of ICS Nawab Abdul Latif Hall unit with sharp weapons recently.
