Shimanto Bank celebrates 6th anniversary

Shimanto Bank Ltd. celebrated its 6th anniversary with a programme at its head office in Dhaka on Thursday, says a statement.
On September 1 in 2016, Shimanto Bank was officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. In the past six years, Shimanto Bank has already set up 20 branches, two sub-branches, two service centres and 19 ATMs across the country to serve the customers.
The bank has been conducting real-time online banking activities through a fully domestic core banking system since the day of commercial operation.
The bank started its journey with a paid-up capital of Tk 4.0 billion and now the share capital or shareholders' equity has increased to Tk 4.74 billion. The bank has been making profits since its first year of operation and is regularly distributing dividends to shareholders.
Rafiqul Islam, Managing Director & CEO of the bank, was present as the chief guest at the anniversary programme.
Mr. Islam, in his speech, expressed determination to move forward through improved customer service and technological excellence. All the employees of head office along with high officials were present at the programme.
