Shimanto Bank Ltd changed into 'Shimanto Bank PLC.'

Shimanto Bank Limited has changed its name as 'Shimanto Bank PLC.' effective from December 5 in compliance with the recent amendment to the Companies Act. Shareholders' approval was accorded to this effect. The Bangladesh Bank has issued a circular in this respect and a gazette has been published yesterday, according to a press release.
Shimanto Bank started operating as a scheduled commercial bank in 2016. Currently, the bank is operating as fully pledged commercial bank with branches, sub-branches, service center, ATM booths across the country.
