Shirin Sharmin to take oath as MP Wednesday

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, who has been elected Member of Parliament (MP) unopposed from Rangpur-6 constituency, will take oath on Wednesday. She will take oath at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at 10am. On Tuesday, the Election Commission published a gazette notification on the election of Shirin Sharmin uncontested as she was the lone candidate in the by-election to the parliamentary seat slated for February 20, according to a news agency.
