Shocking deaths on rail line

Sunday, 14 September 2014

Everyone was shocked over four deaths on Kawran Bazar rail crossing as they were run over by two running trains. It could have been avoided had the illegal fish market been evicted timely.
Now four persons have lost their lives and four families have lost their bread-earning members. It is devastating for the families who lost their near and dear ones.
It seems life has become very cheap in our country. The people who are responsible and who have failed to discharge their duty cannot surely live in peace as deep down their heart they know they are guilty. I hope this incident will work as an eye-opener and the railway authority will take appropriate steps to evict all such markets on railway lines as these are very dangerous and risky.
Why would we only wake up after a terrible accident takes place? Why can't we take preventive measures and be safe? I hope the Kawran Bazaar accident will shake and wake up the concerned authority from their slumber.
The law-enforcing agency has already taken a drive to evict all illegal encroachments of the railway line.  But they must remain alert so that it is not again occupied once again as it seems we forget very soon after the initial shock of a horrific accident.
