Shoe factory employee killed in capital

Miscreants knifed to death a shoe factory employee over a trifling matter in the capital`s Rampura area on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Md Islam, an employee of a shoe factory located at Bhuyian Goli in East Rampura. Police quoting witnesses said a gang of local miscreants, numbering 4-5, all aged 16-19 years, stormed into the shoe factory and attacked Islam with knives. - UNB City population to hit 80m by 2020 : UNFPA Dhaka city's population will reach 80 million by 2020 mainly because of migration of rural people to the metropolis, and 40 to 60 per cent of them will be living in slums.
