Shopkeeper burnt alive in Rangamati

RANGAMATI, Feb 16 (UNB): A man was burned to death as fire broke out in a shop in Reserve Bazaar area in the district town early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Rubel, 22, a local trader and owner of the shop.
Police quoting witnesses said the fire broke out in the shop around 12:45am and engulfed three more adjacent shops and a house.
On information, a fire-fighting unit rushed to the spot and doused the flame after an hour of frantic effort.
Later, the firefighters recovered the charred body of Rubel from the spot.
The origin of the fire could not be ascertained immediately.
