Shops, chemical godown gutted in two fire incidents

Two cloth shops in the Muktijudda Market at Mirpur and a chemical godown at Hazaribagh were gutted in two separate fire incidents in the city Saturday afternoon, reports UNB.
Fire broke out on the ground floor of Muktijuddah Super Market at Mirpur Section-1 at about 1:55 pm.
Sixteen units of firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control at about 4:10 pm.
Two cloth shops were gutted while two others partially damaged in the fire.
In the other incident at Hazaribagh, the fire broke out in a chemical godown at about 2:10 pm.
Two units of fire fighters rushed to the scene and managed to douse the fire by 3:30 pm.
Two Journalists - Anis Rahman of the daily Prothom Alo and Masud Karjan of Daily Samakal - were injured in police action when they were covering the fire incident at Mirpur.
