Shops gutted

At least 20 shops were gutted in a fire which broke out at two markets in the Haor area of Mithamoin Upazila of Kishoreganj Saturday. Local sources said, the fire originated from the burning mosquito coil at a shop and soon engulfed the adjoining shops of Sikdar market and Hye market early in the morning. The affected shop owners claimed that the extent of loss from the fire could go up to Tk 10 million. - UNB
