Shops, restaurants fined for selling unhygienic foodstuffs

The Department of National Consumers Rights Protection (DNCRP) Saturday fined eight shops and restaurants in the capital Tk 113000 for keeping unhygienic foodstuffs.
The shops and restaurants are: New Café de Taz Hotel and Restaurant and Al Madina Hotel at Khilgaon, B Baria Bakery at Jatrabari, Khalil Mangsho Bitan at Shahjahanpur, Jannat Restaurant, Nazir Store and Madina Confectionary at Lalbagh.
Four mobile teams of the DNCRP conducted the drive in association with representatives from the district administration, police, Consumer Association of Bangladesh (CAB) and other relevant government agencies, according to a news agency.
