SI arrested while taking bribe in city

A sub-inspector of Motijheel police station was arrested while taking bribe from a company official Thursday midnight, reports UNB.
Sources said SI Ali Hossain, an investigation officer (IO) in two car stealing cases filed by Prime Insurance Company, demanded Tk 10,000 in bribe from the company's assistant manager Kamal Pasha.
Kamal later informed a senior DB official about it.
As per the DB official's advice, Kamal went to meet Ali Hossain at Azad Boys Club in Motijheel with the money.
Then the DB police, who were waiting over there in plainclothes, caught Ali Hossain red-handed while taking the money from Kamal at around 12:30am.
