Siddons' contract extended by BCB

Some major decisions were taken by the BCB Board of Directors at their 12th meeting at the BCB's office at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur in the city Monday, reports BSS.
The meeting was chaired by BCB President AHM Mustafa Kamal.
BCB board of directors decided to extend the contract of national team's head coach Jamie Siddons up to 30 June 2011.
Former National skipper Khaled Mahmud will remain assigned with the national team as assistant coach until 30 June 2011.
The contract of Bangladesh team's fielding coach Mohammad Salah Uddin will not be renewed after it expires on November 30, 2009. GP-BCB National Cricket Academy Head Coach Ruwan Kalpage will oversee the fielding department of the national team until the appointment of a specialist foreign fielding coach.
South Africa A and West Indies A will tour Bangladesh in April-May 2010. The teams will participate in a tri-nation one- day tournament with Bangladesh A and will also play two four-day matches each with Bangladesh A.
The Board agreed in principle to renew the contracts of National Selectors until 30 June 2010. The salary and benefit package recommended by the Special Committee for Selectors will be reviewed further.
A five-member committee will be formed for monitoring the development work and procurement related to the ICC CWC 2011. The Board has decided to introduce a player database and data analysis system. The system will incorporate a computerized players' database, scorecards and statistical updates.
The Board was informed that total revenue from ticket sales during the Grameen phone Cup ODI series between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe amounts to BDT 54,68700.00.
Ticket rates for the Tri-Nation ODI Series (India- Bangladesh-Sri Lanka) and Bangladesh v India Test series was also finalized in the meeting.
