Signal No. 3 at maritime ports

Wednesday, 30 May 2018

Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal No. three (3) as the low over east-central Bay and adjoining area intensified into a well-marked low over the east-central bay and adjoining the northeast Bay, reports UNB.
It is likely to intensify further and move in a North/Northeasterly direction.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department released the information in a special weather bulletin on Tuesday.
Squally weather is likely to affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal area of Bangladesh.
All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
