Singapore firm keen to build flats

A Singapore-based housing company is interested to build 10,000 apartments under the Purbachal New Town Project of the Capital Development Authority (Rajuk), a minister has said. Housing and Public Works Minister Mosharraf Hossain told bdnews24.com on Thursday that the Singaporean company expressed its interest at a meeting with him at in Dhaka recently. He said the company would work with the Singaporean government to construct the apartments. “If any memorandum of understanding is signed on the matter, it will be between the governments of the two countries.” The minister said the company would soon come up with a formal proposal for the work.
