Singer sponsors unmanned railway level crossing in Tangail

Singer Bangladesh Limited as part of its corporate social responsibility has sponsored an unmanned railway level crossing in Tangail, said a press release.
The sponsorship for appointment of three guards at Bohontoli level crossing under Mirzapur Upazilla in Tangail will save lives from possible accident.
Bangladesh government has undertaken the project (MATT-2, Mainstream Batch-16, Group-C) to help people avoid accident in railway level crossing by involving private sector alongside the government. Under the project, initiative was taken to manage five risky unmanned level crossings in Tangail through private sponsorship. Singer has sponsored Bohontoli crossing of the project.
In the past numerous accidents took place in the unguarded level crossings claiming scores of lives. The three guards, recruited under the sponsorship of Singer, will guard the Bohontoli crossing round-the-clock in turn. It will help avoid accident and save lives. Guarding the level crossing through private sponsorship is an epoch-making initiative in the country.
Singer is serving the people of the country through different social programmes. Sponsoring of unmanned railway level crossing is one the major initiatives as part of Singer's social commitment.
