Singra mayor gets threat on life

NATORE, Jan 10: Mayor of Singra Municipality Md, Shamim Al Rajib filed a General Diary seeking his life security with Singra thana on Sunday.
He mentioned in the statement of GD that, his personal caretaker Md. Hahib Molla (25), was injured seriously by a gang of unknown miscreants at village Baluabashua under Singra upazila on Friday night. Sources said the attackers were equipped with heavy weapons.
"The attackers also threatened to kill me," the Mayor stated in his GD.
The Mayor filed another GD (No 831; date 21-08-2010) with the same police station stating that some unknown miscreants had demanded toll from him on 21 August, 2010.
