Sino-Turkish trade growth shows huge potential

ANKARA, June 19 (CEIS): Visiting Chinese Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai said here yesterday that Sino-Turkish trade growth in recent years shows that the two countries have a huge potential to enhance bilateral economic cooperation.
Bo made the remark during the 15th session of China-Turkey Joint Commission on Economic and Trade Cooperation, which was also attended by Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen.
Bo said Sino-Turkish trade, which was 1.4 billion US dollars in 2002, reached 8.1 billion dollars last year. He pointed out that Turkey's exports to China witnessed an average annual growth rate of 30 per cent in the past five years.
