Six cops closed in Rajshahi

Six policemen of the Detective Branch (DB) of police of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) have been closed to the district police line on charges of dereliction of duty. The closed policemen are sub-inspectors (SI) Rezaul and Monir, constables Shah Alam, Mamun and Faruk of RMP DB police and sub-inspector Harunur Rashid of Shah Makhdum Police Station in the north-western divisional city. The action was taken against the cops on Saturday night for their negligence in duty in different times, said RMP police commissioner M Shamsuddin, according to a news agency.
