Six die in Dhaka slum fire

At least six people, including three children, died in a slum fire in Rayerbazar Saturday night, police and witnesses said. The fire gutted more than 1,000 shanties. Many failed to save their belongings. The deputy police commissioner for Tejgaon, Mahbubur Rahman, told bdnews24.com that the dead were pulled from the debris after the fire was tamed at about 9:30pm.
