Six die of dengue, total reaches 145

The dengue situation is gradually worsening, with six more people dying from dengue in the past 24 hours till Thursday morning.
The number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease has reached 145 this year.
During the 24-hour period three deaths were reported under the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), one under the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and one each in Mymensingh and Rajshahi divisions, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). A total of 586 fresh cases of dengue were reported.
During this period, 109 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, 58 in Chattogram division, 104 in Dhaka division excluding the capital, 103 in DSCC, and 144 in DNCC, 12 in Mymensingh division, 44 in Rajshahi division, 10 in Rangpur division, and two in Sylhet division.
