Six dorms, research centre opened at JU

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated six newly-built residential halls and the previously constructed Wazed Mia Science Research Centre at Jahangirnagar University (JU)
The six residential halls were constructed spending Tk4500 million (Tk450 crore) under 'The Further Development Project'.
The ten-story dormitories will provide accommodation for 1,000 students each- three for boys and three for girls.
She announced the grand opening of the infrastructures through videoconferencing from Ganobhaban at 10 am on Tuesday.
At the time, JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nurul Alam, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Admin) Prof Sheikh Md Monzurul Huq, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof Dr Mostafa Feeroz, Treasurer Prof Dr Rasheda Akhtar, along with deans of various faculties, teachers, students, and officials were present.
