Six killed in road accidents in dists

Six people were killed and 34 others injured in separate road accidents in three districts Saturday, report agencies.
In Mymensingh, three people were killed and four injured in a collision between a bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Mymensingh-Sherpur highway at Dholibazar in Phulpur upazila on the day.
The deceased could not be identified immediately.
In Naogaon, two people were killed and 30 injured when a bus plunged into a roadside ditch amid dense fog at Dayahaat on the Naogaon-Porsha Road in Porsha upazila in the morning.
One of the deceased as identified as Tariqul Islam,28, salesman of Deco Food Products, while identity of another could not be known immediately.
The injured were admitted to Porsha Upazila Health Complex.
Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
In Chittagong, a pedestrian was killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Boro Kumira area under Sitakunda upazila of the district in early hours.
The victim was identified as Wahab Ali, 50,who hailed from Chamta village under Noriya upazila of Shariatpur district.
Nayek Shilabrata Barua of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost said Wahab was critically injured after a speedy lorry knocked him at the area around 12-30am.
