Six killed in two dists

RANGPUR, Nov 13 (BSS): Three persons, including a life-term convict, were killed in separate incidents at different places in the district during the past 48 hours till Saturday morning, police sources said.
Life term convict in a murder case Ramzan Ali (58), son of late Reaz Uddin of village Zanibari under Fulbari Upazila in Dianjpur, fell seriously ill in Rangpur Central Jail and later died, One Masum Miah (40) of village Kishamat Habu under Gangachara Upazila was seriously injured in a road accident in Gangachhara area and rushed to the RMCH where he succumbed to his injuries.
Another Abul Kalam (35) of village Birabari near Paglapeer under Sadar Upazila died at the RMCH last night after taking a large number of cow-fattening tablets to become healthier, the sources said.
UNB adds: Three people were killed and two others injured in a tragic road accident at Gharera on Comilla-Sylhet highway in Kasba Upazila Saturday morning.
One of the deceased was identified as Shahl Jalal (20). Identity of two others could not be known immediately.
Police said the accident occurred at 9:30am when a Comilla-bound truck collided with a Brahmanbaria-bound CNG-run auto rickshaw in the area, leaving two dead on the spot and three others injured.
Of the injured, Shah Jalal died on way to Dhaka while Sajjadur Rahman (18), and Hafez Ahmed (45), were admitted to Sadar hospital.
