Six members of a family burnt in city, four in N'ganj

Six members of a family suffered burn injuries in a gas line explosion at a home in the capital's Agargaon area on Saturday.
The injured were identified as Md Jalil Mia (50), Aneja Begum (40), Asif Mia (19), Sakib Mia (16), Eva (6) and Monira Akter (17).
All six were admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka around 7:45am on Saturday.
According to local residents, a fire broke out at house no. 204/F, beside Paka Market Islamic Foundation, after a gas line leak in the early hours of the morning.
Shaon Bin Rahman, a resident doctor at the burn institute, said dressings and other necessary treatment were provided to the patients.
UNB from Narayanganj adds: four members of a family suffered burn injuries in a fire apparently from gas leak in Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj district on Saturday.
The injured were identified as jarina Begu, 65, Alauddin, 35, Sathia Akter, 14 and Saima, 4.
Dr Shaon Bin Rahman, resident Surgeon at the hospital, said the fire broke out at the house of Jarina early Saturday morning presumedly from accumulated gas due to gas line leakage at Kanchpur Patatata village, leaving four members of the family injured.
Among the injured, Jarina received 20 per cent burn injuries, Sathia Akter with 12 per cent, Alauddin with 40 per cent and Saima with 30 per cent injuries.
They were taken to National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
