Six money forgers held in city

Detectives arrested six suspected members of a counterfeit money syndicate and seized counterfeit notes of around Tk5.0 million from their possession in Mirpur area of Dhaka city on Monday night. The law enforcers also recovered various tools used to produce fake notes from their possession. Muntasir, deputy commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, said Detective Branch (DB) personnel arrested the six suspected members of counterfeit money syndicate in the city’s Mirpur area on Monday night. Identity of the arrested could not be known immediately, according to a news agency.
