Six Pabna cops suspended over bribery charges

Six policemen were suspended in Pabna after they allegedly asked for bribes. Pabna's Superintendent of Police (SP) Alamgir Kabir said that two sub-inspectors (SI) and four constables were removed from the Ishwardi Police Station over bribery charges. They are sub-inspectors Mohammad Asif and Md Anu, and constables Zillur Rahman, Mominul Islam, Mizanur Rahman and Anisur Rahman. The six allegedly demanded bribe from a drug-peddler. — UNB
