Six policemen suspended for beating DC office peon

CHUADANGA, Jun 18 (UNB): Six policemen, including a court havilder, were suspended on charge of assaulting a peon of Deputy Commissioner's office on the district court premises Monday.
Suspended policemen are Havilder Ahsan Habib, Wahedur Rahman, Mokles Uddin, Fazlur Rahman, Aminul and Yakub Hossain.
Action against the six cops were taken as allegations brought against them were proved after investigation.
The cops physically beat up peon Abdul Aziz, as he tried to pass a security cordon, which was built to take five accused from the court to the jail.
Receiving allegation, DC Mohammad Moklesur Rahman informed Police Super Mofijuddin Ahmed of the matter, who took action against the cops.
