SJIBL director on 7-day remand

CHITTAGONG, July 3: Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) director Md Solaiman was granted seven-day remand by a local court in a case filed over misappropriation of money.
The court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Md Mashiur Rahman passed the order on Thursday.
After hearing in the case he was taken to the Kotwali police station in the city.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Prosecution) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Rezaul Masud told the media that four journalists had been injured in the attack by some unruly youths on the court premises while they were taking photographs.
He said that assistant director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in Chittagong Rafiqul Islam, also investigation officer of the case, sought 10 days' remand for Solaiman. But the court granted seven days.
