SJIBL opens 32nd branch at Rajshahi

Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) has opened its 32nd branch at Rajshahi.
Mayor of the Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) AHM Khairuzzaman (Liton) formally inaugurated the branch as the chief guest Wednesday, said a press release.
Chairman of the board of directors of the bank Akkas Uddin Mollah presided over the inaugural function.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the bank's services by saying that as a new generation bank Shahjalal Islami Bank has marched ahead due to the excellent services it provides to its clients.
He also thanked the bank authority for setting up a branch in Rajshahi, the hub of northern Bangladesh's trade and business.
He expressed the hope that the bank would continue to contribute in trade, commerce and industrialisation as well as socio-economic development of the divisional city.
Addressing the function, founder chairman of the bank Sajjatuz Jumma said the bank is being operated by an expert team of professionals with the international standard.
He said the bank staff should remain vigilant to provide quality service to the clients.
In his presidential address, the chairman of the board of directors said the demand and popularity of Islamic Banking has marked a rise globally due to transparency, justice, financing on the basis of profit sharing, philanthropic activities and major contribution in socio-economic development.
Among others, vice chairmen Mohammad Farooq and Syed Nurul Arefeen, directors Md Solaiman, Abdul Halim, Abdul Barek, Rukunuddin Khan, Khondker Sakib Ahmed, sponsor shareholders Tofazzal Hossain, Abdul Mannan, Sanaullah Shahid, Mohiuddin Ahmed and Managing Director Muhammad Ali were present on the occasion.
