SK Russel thrash Ugyen 4-0 to proceed to main draw

Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra have thrashed Ugyen Academy of Bhutan 4-0 to become the first Bangladeshi club to proceed to the main draw of the AFC President’s Cup.
The Dhaka-based football club started aggressively and pressed high on the pitch at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo Sunday, according to a news agency.
The treble-winning club of last season in Bangladesh netted two goals within the first 21 minutes.
Pascal Millien scored their first in the 14th minute while Mithun Chowdhury doubled the lead in the 21st minute.
Seven minutes later Shakil Ahmed added another to the score as SKRC went into the half-time leading 3-0.
In the 88th minute, Mithun completed his second brace of the tournament for a 4-0 score-line.
The forward had scored two goals against Sri Lankan Air Force in their previous match.
