Sheikh Russell KC will play Arambagh KS in the last quarterfinal of the Grameenphone Federation Cup Football today (Wednesday) at 2:30 pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium, reports UNB.
Sheikh Russell KC coach Maruful Haque seemed very serious about the match during the team's practice session Tuesday.
Coach Maruf said: "It doesn't matter who is the opponent in a pressure match like quarterfinal; it's a knockout situation and we've to show our best. My players are motivated to win the match with perfect teamwork and continuing their consistency."
"We've to improve for the upcoming challenges. We'll take the field to win and I've told the players it won't come easy," he said.
Maruf said his team has no injury problem.
Arambagh coach Kazi Jolly vowed to fight till the end against their stronger opponent. "We'll focus on winning the match with a 4-4-2 formation and also with quick counterattacks," he said.
"Sheikh Russell KC is a good side and we know our limitations. However, negative football is not in our mind. We want to win the quarterfinal," he added.
Coach Kazi Jolly, however, said he will miss his Cameroon midfielder Kevin Battopen due to injury.
The winner of the last quarterfinal will play the semifinal against the winners of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club vs Abahani Limited.
