Skipping breakfast is unhealthy

Monday, 15 October 2018

After a long night of sleep and starvation, the human body needs food in the morning. Not having a proper breakfast is not a healthy habit. But many people have this habit.
I am a breakfast person; I have to have a good hearty breakfast. Without it, I feel gloomy and cranky.
I have seen people boast about how they never eat more than a cup of tea and a piece of bread in the morning. There is an old adage, "eat your morning meal like a king, lunch like a common man and dinner like a pauper". This is not practised in Bangladesh properly.
I have come across many students and young men and women who skip their meals simply to make time for school, college or work. Not having proper breakfast harms the health immensely by affecting weight, memory and mood, among other things. In the long run, this can also lead to serious health complications like weight gain, diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol, heart disease, high blood pressure etc.
Hence, a good breakfast in the morning should be ensured as it can supply one with energy through the day.
