SL reach 279-7 against S Africa

CHRISTCHURCH, Feb 9 (AP): Veteran Tillakaratne Dilshan smashed a quick-fire century to lead Sri Lanka to 279-7 after batting first Monday in a rain-affected Cricket World Cup warmup against South Africa.
Dilshan reached 100 from 82 deliveries before he was out next ball, having shared parnerships of 76 for the second wicket with Kumar Sangakkara (31) and 74 for the third wicket with Dimuth Karunaratne (46).
Captain Angelo Mathews then made 58 from 49 deliveries before rain forced the end of the Sri Lanka innings after 44.4 overs.
