Slain BGB man Mizanur laid to eternal rest

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) member Nayek Subedar Mizanur Rahman, who was killed in firing by Myanmar Border Guard Police (BGP) men in Bandarban, was laid to eternal rest at Bhelanagar village in Debidwar upazila in Comilla district on Monday.
Mizanur was buried with state honour at his family graveyard after his 2nd namaz-e-janaza at Bhoisherkut Eidgah at about 3:15 pm.
Earlier, the body of the slain BGB man was flown to Comilla from Bandarban by a special helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force.
The helicopter carrying the body landed at a field at Choyghari village in Chandina upazila around 1 pm.
Later, his body was taken to his house at Bhelanagar when a pall of gloom descended on the entire village.
Earlier, the first namaz-e-janaza of Mizanur was held at the BGB Naikhonchhari headquarters in Bandarban at about 9 am today, according to UNB.
