Slain councillor Nazrul\\\'s wife in N\\\'ganj race

Slain Narayanganj City councilor Nazrul Islam’s wife Selina Islam Beauty and his younger brother Abdus Salam have submitted their nomination papers for the bypoll to a Narayanganj ward. They submitted the nomination paper to district election officer Tarifuzzaman. On April 27, 7 people, including city councillor Nazrul Islam and senior lawyers Chandan Kumar Sarker, had been abducted and later they were murdered. Their bodies were then dumped into Shitalakkha and Dhaleswari rivers. Both Salam and Beauty said they had become candidates as the date of the by-poll was abruptly declared and that they did not have any ‘feud’. They also said one of them would withdraw nomination after discussing the matter.
