Tuesday, 12 October 2010

A business delegation of Sri Lanka-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SLBCCI) will visit Sri Lanka from October 28 to November 1 in a bid to boost the bilateral trade volume between the two countries.
The delegation is expected to make a strategic partnership with Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), the foremost business chamber of Sri Lanka, during the five-day visit.
"We hope the visit will lay a good foundation for strengthening the existing trade ties between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh," said a press release quoting SLBCCI President Harikesha Wijesekera as saying.
During the visit, SLBCCI will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with CCC and attend an international 'Buyer-Seller Meeting' to be organised by CCC on October 29.
The SLBCCI delegation is also expected to meet President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapakse, ministers and government high-ups to initiate measures to boost the trade volume between the two countries.
