Sleeping child burnt in arson attack at Uttara

Unidentified miscreants carried out an arson attack on a parked bus leaving a sleeping child burnt in Kasaibari rail-gate area at Uttara in the city in the early hours of Thursday. The injured child was identified as Najim Uddin, 13, who was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit from a local hospital of Uttara. Police sources said the miscreants carried out the arson attack on the standing bus while Najim was sleeping inside.  Seeing the fire, he started screaming and jumped from the bus through a window with burn injuries.    — BSS
