'Slumdog...' star Rubina to move to a flat soon

MUMBAI, Jan 15 : Child-actor Rubina Ali Qureshi of the Oscar-winning movie 'Slumdog Millionaire' fame is all set to leave the slums and move to a new flat.
According to her agent, the 10-year-old star now has a small fortune in book and film deals which is worth more than USD 145,000 and her family could soon move out of the slums into a new apartment, financed by the Jai Ho trust, which was set up by the film's director, Danny Boyle, reports dailyexpress.co.uk.
Rubina played the young Latika who grows up to become the hero's love interest in "Slumdog Millionaire".
Apart from this, Rubina also received USD 32,568 as an advance for her autobiography "Slumgirl Dreaming" and stands to get at least USD 81,420 more in royalties by April.
