Small trader killed in city slum

A small trader was killed and three others injured as gunmen sprayed bullets inside a city slum under Gulshan thana Saturday evening, reports UNB.
The police quoting witnesses said a gang of gunmen entered Karail slums looking for one Raju in the afternoon. “At one stage, the gangsters sprayed bullets indiscriminately and fled the scene,” says a spot account of the incident.
Small trader Karim, rickshaw pullers Bahar (35) and Alam (15) and pedestrian Yusuf sustained bullet injuries in the frenzied firing, the police said. They were rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where attending doctor pronounced Karim dead at about 6:10pm. Motives behind the gun attack could not be ascertained immediately.
